Recycling:

Newsprint: Remove plastic covering. Flatten and place in a grocery bag. Beverage cartons and cereal boxes are okay, remove plastic bags/wraps.
Plastic Containters: Numbers 1 and 2 only. Remove caps and lids and clean thoroughly.
Tin Cans/Scrap Metal: Remove labels from cans and clean thoroughly. Remove both ends, if possible.
Aluminum: Rinse out and drain please. No refunds.
Cardboard: Corrugated only and please flatten.
Electronics: TV $6, PC monitor $6, Printers $6, Laptop $6, Stereo component $3, VCR/DVD player $3, Computer tower/CPU $3, Keyboard/mouse/speakers $3 (per set). Cords and remote controls are free with recycling of component they came with.

Demo Box:

Paint/Paint cans: Cans must be empty. Dump paint into cat litter or into box to dry. Dried paint can go in demo box.
Fluorescent Bulbs: 8' $1, 4' $ .50, All others (compact, etc) are $ .50 each. Bulbs must be unbroken.
Bulk Disposal: $ .05 per pound (min 5 lbs) for everything placed in dump box with the exception of the following: Mattress $15, Couch $15, Stuffed chair $15, Stove $15, Water heater $15, Washer $15, Dryer $15, Refrigerator $25, Air conditioner $25, Freezer $25, Passenger tire $5, Truck tire $8, Tractor tire $10.

Garbage:

Garbage is only accepted in Strum-Unity bags. 40 gal. bags are $4, and can be purchased at the Village Office, Robbe's IGA, Countryside Cooperative and the Strum Recycling Center. 30 gal. bags are $3 and can be purchased at the Village Office or the Strum Recycling Center. No charge to have a Metals recycling box. Metals only, no attached wood, plastic or other materials.
