Beef River Bullfrogs Baseball


The Beef River Bullfrogs located at Strum, Wisconsin were proudly formed by Stan Lokken in the fall of 1995. Area Team Players were made up with in a 25 mile radius from the Strum Baseball Park, and the first team began playing in the CRBL Baseball league in the spring of 1996. The league now consists of ten teams divided into two divisions, the North division consisting of Bloomer, Chippewa Falls, Jim Falls, Tilden, and Hallie.

The South division consists of Augusta, Strum Beef River Bullfrogs, Eau Claire, Whitehall, and Osseo. Each year the winner of each division plays a one game play off for the league championship. The bullfrogs have been very successful since inception, winning the south division three times, Co-Champions two times and the League Championship in 2003. Each year the top teams in the league play in the Wisconsin State regional tournament. The Bullfrogs have been involved nine out of the twelve years in the tournament and are now regarded as one of the top amateur teams in the State of Wisconsin.

The Bullfrogs have played 503 games over all, 318 wins and 185 losses, including league games {119 wins and 95 losses}. The Bullfrogs provide good entertainment, top quality hospitality, special promotional events, a great food menu, and fun for the kids. The Beef River Bullfrogs are very thankful for the Great community support, individual volunteer help, and Special Sponsors which makes for a prosperous situation.
